The lead story in the Sports section of the Houston Chronicle today focuses on Connor Wood, the standout quarterback for Second Baptist High School and Texas' top-rated quarterback for 2010 according to Rivals.com. Connor has verbally committed to University of Texas and will be reporting there in the Spring of 2010.
I am very proud to be associated with Connor! Faith and belief provide a solid foundation for his life. He is an outstanding football player and leader, and he demonstrates the essence of character and integrity both on and off the field. He is mature beyond his years in that he has discovered at a relatively early age that what he does doesn't define who he is. Through the process of discovery and experience, Connor Wood truly exhibits the keys to a great performer: focus, the will to win, and the ability to recover from past mistakes or distractions along the way. He leverages these 3 traits to "Perform in the Moment!"
